MESOTHERAPY

Mesotherapy is a medical technique used to administer an injectable solution directly beneath the surface of the skin to treat superficial fat deposits. Mesotherapy is a good alternative to liposuction. Most patients require multiple sessions every 2-3 weeks. The number of sessions required is individualized to meet each patient's needs.

How does mesotherapy work?
Mesotherapy has shown ability to break the bonds in fat cells. The fat is dissolved into liquid and eliminated from the body through waste.

Is mesotherapy safe?
Phosphatidylcholine, the injectable used in mesotherapy, is soy based and viewed as an enzyme. Like any other injectable product, it may cause side effects or allergic reactions in some people. However, clinical experience from over 8 years of regular daily use show adverse reactions to be extremely rare.

Are there any other benefits of mesotherapy?
Yes. Mesotherapy injections do not destroy fat cells as with liposuction. New or future weight gain is accumulated evenly, unlike liposuction where uneven dents can occur in the treated areas with new weight gain. The results remain permanent unless there is new weight gain.

What are the known side effects?
Common side effects known are localized pain, minor burning sensation for a few hours and temporary bruising, itching and soreness may be experienced for 1-2 days. Swelling of the treated area may occur for 2 to 7 days.
