A patient's own plasma is mixed with a patented combination of growth factors and injected into the skin. This treatment encourages the skin to produce collagen and added growth factors. The healing properties of the blood components in PRP can be used as a cosmetic treatment for the following:
- Reducing fine lines and wrinkles
- Tightening and toning skin
- Mild collagen and volume loss
- Crow's feet and dark under eye circles
- Acne scarring
- Regrowth of hair when applied to the scalp
What to Expect
During the treatment, a patient's blood will be drawn and spun down to plasma. This plasma is then mixed with a combination of growth factors and injected back into the face or scalp.
Within a few weeks of treatment, patients can expect improvement in skin hydration, texture and tone. New collagen and blood vessels begin to grow after three to six weeks and reduction of fine lines and wrinkles and volume correction happens over the next three to six months. The effects of PRP treatments can last 12 months to 2 years.
PRP Injections can help diminish the appearance of deeper lines and wrinkles while PRP with Microneedling helps with fine lines.
Most patients require three to six treatments.
